Dear Friends & Family,
We are in unprecedented times. Our president has declared a national state of emergency. Schools have been closed. Businesses have been shuttered. Panic and pandemonium fill our supermarkets. The dark web of fear is trying to overtake our world. Yet God’s light will shine brightest in the darkest of days and His peace will prevail over the panic!
We started the year in Isaiah 43:18,19 believing God would do a new thing in our day. We are stepping into new and uncharted waters. We have been crying out for God to send forth His laborers into the harvest field. The time is now and we are His laborers!
As City Point Pastors and Elders, we have met to prepare for the days ahead. We do believe this is not a time to walk in fear, but to walk in faith and obey the Lord. We encourage you to pray Psalm 91 over yourself and your family. As a presence driven church, we are continually seeking God’s leading for each step we take. In the days, weeks and months ahead, be prepared to move with the Lord as new ministries unfold to meet the needs and church as usual takes a backseat to new opportunities to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ to our community in new and fresh ways.
One new and fresh way of ministry is the Micro-church. For at least the next two weeks, we are moving our Sunday morning service to a LiveStream format. We encourage you to gather with your family, neighbors or friends in your home. The early church in the book of Acts met from House to House and enjoyed the Apostles teaching, fellowship with one another, breaking bread together and prayer. Daily God showed up and grew His church. (See Acts 2:42) This is our time to BE the Church throughout our community. What an amazing opportunity to connect with those closest to you and minister His peace. Please click the link below to watch a video message from me.
Over the next few weeks and months, we will continue to send emails and facebook posts to encourage, strengthen and equip you during this time. We are all being released into the harvest fields around us! Together we will see God's kingdom expand even in the midst of this crisis for our nation.
This is a time to walk together and seek the Lord together. We are a family and we stand together, united in love. Reach out to one another. Check in on your neighbors and family members. If you have a need, please let us know. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org. Our prayer team is also ready to pray for you! Please text 219-299-4967 with your name and prayer request.

Walking by faith…..
